Pepe was a 3-year-old Maltese mix whose life was tragically taken on May 19th, 2024. Stolen from PAWS Fur The Cause Rescue, Pepe was the victim of an act of unimaginable cruelty. The person responsible for this heinous crime had a history of targeting animals from rescues and free adoption events, inflicting suffering on at least ten other dogs. Pepe’s story is heartbreaking, but his memory inspires a mission to help animals in need.
In his honor, PAWS Fur The Cause Rescue is launching The Pepe Foundation. This foundation is committed to providing medical care, advocacy, and support for dogs who have endured severe abuse and neglect. Beyond rescuing and rehoming, the foundation aims to be a lifeline for the most vulnerable animals, ensuring they receive the compassion and care they deserve.
Supporters have the opportunity to turn tragedy into action. Donations made in Pepe’s name will help establish this vital initiative and create a lasting impact in his memory.
