Some rescues are filled with heartbreak, but they also remind us of the strength of compassion and the importance of standing up for those who cannot defend themselves. The story of Zeus and Persephone began with a call for help—someone reached out to me about a potential animal cruelty case. I knew I had to act quickly.
In his honor, PAWS Fur The Cause Rescue is launching The Pepe Foundation. This foundation is committed to providing medical care, advocacy, and support for dogs who have endured severe abuse and neglect. Beyond rescuing and rehoming, the foundation aims to be a lifeline for the most vulnerable animals, ensuring they receive the compassion and care they deserve.
Supporters have the opportunity to turn tragedy into action. Donations made in Pepe’s name will help establish this vital initiative and create a lasting impact in his memory. The funds will provide resources for animals who have faced the worst and help prevent similar tragedies from happening in the future.
Pepe’s life was filled with hope and love, and he was eagerly waiting for his forever home. Although his life was tragically cut short, his story will now serve as a catalyst for meaningful change.
